We got together for our monthly gathering at the Park with around 17 people. We started the day with a great breakfast prepared by Ken Dickinson and then we had a Service Ceremony. We cleaned the area of the wood kiln, got rid of the metal wood stove and fix the lights to the entrance of the main building. And for the rest of the time we divided into testing the fountain with real water, studying a material on mental suffering and finalizing the day with a Ceremony of wellbeing around the fountain. A great day and a wonderful experience! Thanks to all who made it such a special day.
Last week starting on Saturday July 9th, 2016 we started the construction of our fountain at the Park. We finished the construction on Saturday July 16th, 2016. None of this could have happen without the incredible help we receive from Victor and Lourdes who came from the Park of Study and Reflection, Joquicingo in Mexico near Mexico City. They stayed the entire week and under their guidance and concrete help, we built together the fountain. This is a milestone that we will celebrate appropriately soon, but in the mean time here are some of the photos from this very special week of work.
UPDATE: We had a great Celebration and we are grateful to all who had contribute over the years to this wonderful project. Bellow some pictures of the event
These past 10 years have seen what was just an idea in the Andes Mountains turn into over 40 Parks of Study and Reflection all over the world.
Saturday, June 18th, 2016 we’re going to celebrate the 10 years that our Park in California has transformed from a dream into reality. We’re inviting anyone who would like a tour of the Park to come at noon Saturday followed by a potluck* and BBQ lunch. A presentation by Chilean author Dario Ergas on his investigation: Zarathustra: Unity, Duality and Freedom will also take place sometime during the event.
We’ll conclude the day together with an open mic so inspired artists please come through and share your craft!
See you at the Park!
*Alcohol free event
Yesterday, Saturday April 25, with the help of 3 students from the Concrete Industry Management Department of Chico State University, along with their teacher, Tim H.– the beginning of a fountain for Red Bluff Park took place! Please check out our short video (created by Ken) above which was yesterday’s creation of the “pad” or concrete circular foundation that will support the fountain
A big thank you to everyone involved in helping with this first stage of our fountain—with your hard work, enthusiasm, donations and support! We are still gladly accepting donations to finish the project! Hopefully the fountain will be complete by mid-summer
Big hug to all, Janet
Another historic moment for Red Bluff Park. Here is a very short video of the recent Portal Installation completed this July 2014.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible through their generous contributions and volunteer spirit.
